There have been two isolated instances where this wasn't the case, but I know for a fact that I hadn't changed any settings in RA. Retroarch crashes on startup windows 7 drivers. If I try to load a new game after quitting one, I have to restart RA. ![]() I thought this might have something to do with my playlists, so I tried rescanning them and I tried loading the content manually, then quitting and loading new content manually. And I don't get an error report or anything like that. But if I try to close content and go to another game in another playlist, RA hangs, then crashes. All I have to do is restart RetroArch and I can easily load another game, whether it's for the same emulator or a different one, and play to my heart's content. I created two playlists for my collection by separating the ROMs into different folders and I used the "No Intro" naming conventions recommended on the RetroArch site. Emulationstation starts correctly since it's the same portable version I'm running on my higher end PC, but if I try to load a game Retroarch crashes. I primarily play a small handful of NES and Gameboy games using FCEUmm and Gambatte. Crashes usually mean missing BIOS, or its not set in the proper folder. Because the generic windows 10 drivers did not allow me to launch EmulationStation properly. I'm using the latest stable build of RetroArch (1.14.0) for Windows 11 (updated to 22H2). It's only after quitting and loading a different one that this happens. ![]() I successfully log into RetroAchievements the first time I try to load a ROM. If I turn achievements on, I get my crash but ONLY after I quit one game and try to load another. If I disable achievements altogether, the crashing described below ceases. I forgot that I had turned RetroAchievements on.
